TakeFiveADay: Real Pirates Give Out Hugs and You Can’t Stop Him

“I am sending proof Pirate Dad’s no scallywag – he’s a real prince! He generously donated the prize he won in Fiddleheads in Maine’s Kmart Cars Contest, to my son. I would love to send a public thank you and some pics.
Who would have thought a small brown box adorned with Cars stickers could bring so much joy? It was the package I had been waiting for, ever since Pirate Dad had phoned to generously donate the prize he won in Fiddleheads in Maine’s Kmart Cars contest, to my son, Teree. I decided to keep it a surprise for him!
I could barely keep myself from opening the package before Teree returned home, and decided to videotape his response. Don’t let his deadpan appearance fool you. When he saw all the Cars, he was in heaven. I was more excited than he was though, when I saw Frank and Elvis!
I would like to thank Fiddleheads in Maine for having this contest and sending these lovely gifts and bonuses. You have no idea how much this means to us. Sending you lots of Carsma!
I have to thank Pirate Dad for his generosity – as a fellow enthusiast, a dad and a friend. Words cannot express how grateful we are (though I will try…) – you are the best!!
Teree spent the rest of the afternoon pulling out all the bins and the playsets to “meet” the new additions, and at bedtime, it was hard to get him to pack up. I have been advises that we will need new bins to hold our new mega-sized friends. Teree also wants me to salvage the Cars stickers from the box, despite the fact he already has lots of Cars stickers. “I don’t have those exact stickers – they’re clear on the back!”
Met – thanks again for Take5aDay – without it, none of this would be possible. It’s really nice to know that there are wonderful people out there who are willing to help you out – without meeting face to face. Hopefully one day soon, that will change!

Looks like I missed a lot of Cars action around here!
This past week I was up to my elbows in cake batter and buttercream icing…and no PD…I wasn’t trying to recreate one of your wild fantasies. 😉 I made a 3 tier cake as a gift for my brother-in-law’s wedding.
So my weekend included a very scary 5 hour drive to MA thru torrential rain with two cars, two kids, a 70 lb wedding cake, three coolers filled with 50 lobsters for the rehearsal dinner and one very sweet, kind, supportive, extremely stressed out husband. Whew! Everything made it in one piece…including my hubby. The wedding was beautiful, the wedding cake didn’t melt in the heat and everyone loved it! AND I might get some jobs sent my way thru the caterer. How cool is THAT!?
Oh and I’ll get to work baking those fern cupcakes Met. 😉

Target and they have nothing.

They hae NEW Car holders at Targetafter the reset. $10 each and they seem to work for about 90% of the cars! we brought one home today to test!!

I bought them at WM in Canada – they are with the fishing tackle boxes – but are a great size for Cars!
same here bought them in Texas….especially for Hank, Greta, Red and other long/large ones!
I have some of those. They are tackle boxes, check out the fishing section of wal-mart. I also use some tool boxes (for sorting nails and screws etc). The new boxes at target hold 44 – 50 cars for $10.00. If I were starting today that would be the way to go.
