Mattel Disney Pixar Diecast CARS: The Final Final Lap Full List
These are all the Final lap CARS scheduled for August 2009 to Autumn 2010.
Of course, we may not see all of the due to some issue but for now, these are scheduled. I think it’s safe to say we’ll definitely see 90%+ of them but one or two might slip away or might slip away to another branch line and not get a singles release but will still appear in a box set or something like that.
Again, NON-LENTICULAR and for now, TARGET-ONLY.
Yesterdays brief list is probably a chronological list of what’s coming first but this list is alphabetical and just because it’s at the top of the list, it might not be out until 11 months from now … so drool, yes – but don’t plan too far ahead.
And no one stop collecting 🙂 … It’d be like running 499 laps of a 500 lap race and then calling it a night – don’t give up on us! Hence the Final Lap*

I am so upset that i feel like crying! I cant find any of the final lap case e cars! I have been seaching every where! I live in hagerstown maryland and no one has these here or near here! I cant even find them on the internet! I wish i knew some one in the state that they have them in so i could have them shiped to me! My kids keep asking for them but i cant find them any where!

That was the original case because the SHOW GIRLS were supposed to be released BEFORE this case so this case was the “follow-up/repeat” case … No one really knows what’s in the case now. Mattel is shipping from the warehouse, CTC has ordered some to crack open to look but not arrive until next week so presumably, the Chick tiwns just swapped with the Showgirls in this case but who knows?)
This is the case contents from Entertainment Earth. They have been known to be “off”.
The squirrels are being fed Omega-3 peanuts, so the contents have been getting better.
If that’s accurate, my guess is there will be zero preorders for this case

SIDEBAR: I got Trunk Fresh from TRU in the mail today. It came in a bubble envelope and was quite bent and dented (the box not the hauler). The packing slip said if I returned it, it would have to be packaged so it wouldn’t be damaged in shipment. I had thoughts not appropriate for a lady of my upbringing!! Good thing I’m an opener.

We like Pixar “CARS” die-cast but, we CANNOT find what has already been released – so, what good are dozens more of “NEW” store exclusives for a store that is NOT anywhere near here?
Also, why store exclusives for a store that CLEARLY does NOT like or want collectors – we have heard MANY horror stories of how Target thinks they are too good for the average customer and have gone out of their way to NOT sell an item to a collector?
Where in Michigan are you? I’m in Kalamazoo and have seen most the new stuff at different places here.
We’re in MI as well, can’t say there’s anything we haven’t found eventually between…….between WM, TRU, Target, Meijer, and Kmart.

Just to clarify –
we live in a VERY small town in the woods with only a couple grocery stores and bars and banks and a Post Office – NO major stores!
The nearest K-mart is a 30 minute drive north and the ONLY new Pixar Cars they have stocked all year was at the Pixar Event?
The nearest Wal-Mart is over 30 minute drive and they do not stock their own exclusives – they are called a Resort Store and said they do not sell alot of toys so, they do not stock alot of toys?
No Target! No Toys-R-Us!!

At least you can go get a good pasty whenever you want to. I havent had a good one of those since the summer I lived on Mackinac Island over ten years ago. If I see anything newer down here I’ll grab it for you. Kalamazoo isnt too big but we have 4 WM, 4 Meijer, 2 Targets and a Toys R US.

My cruizen days were gone by ’78 as I was attending Art Center College of Design Pasadena bustn my butt running with the big dogs. Drove a ’73 Datsun 240Z, had it for 10 years 🙂
I do remember that VW dealership which was either on Beverely or Whittier. It has all changed now, I’m not even sure if the Whitter Mall is still there………..
I’ll never forget the night I was street racing a 911 on Whittier Blvd in my scooped up 240Z, beat him off the line every time. Raced from mid Whitter to Montebello city limits and then the reds lights came on. Yikes………
Cop said, Martin wait here, goes after the 911. little sis says “I’m not bailing you out”……..Martin takes off, get’s caught 7 blocks from home.
Cop was cool, didn’y lock me up, all he said was, ” you got a fast car there, was behind you guy’s the entire time. Guy in the 911 told me to tell you he won the last one”.

I’m sure JL cruised Whittier Blvd like we all did back in the day. 🙂
I grew up in Montebello where there were more low riders than hot rods. Then we had a mix that was low rider looking with hot rod engines. I cruised Whittier Blvd in my buddy’s ’69 Z28 Camarow/hidden headlights. Yellow with Black stripes, headers, low prifle tires before they became the norm.
His cars was fast did low 13’s with Slicks when we’d take it to the drags. Wasn’t fair he always ended up racing against guys who trailered their race cars in while his was a daily driver 🙁
JL’s about my age so I’m guessing he graduated 70’s or so. He’s supposed to be at the Con, I’ll ask him right quick 🙂

Martin, do you remember the hamburger joint across the street from Music Plus+? I think it was Phils, anyways, that was where we used to hang. We cruised ’76 – ’78.
Ahh, Montobello. Remember Colome Motors? I think they were on Beverly Blvd.? They sold VW’s? Very good friends of the family. I grew up with the son Chris.

Happy Days! (Sorry for the pun) This list contains three cars that I was really wishing they would release (In order of my favorites): Timothy Timezone, Percy Handbrake, and Marilyn. Sorry that I have to drive 40 miles each way to the closest Target though.

Well, it looks like I will not have to go to Wal-Mart anymore. The lenticulars really look stupid, a money grabber to dispose of stagnant inventory. I’ve seen the same poor workmanship or lack of appropriate decals on the lenticulars. It look like Mattel came up with a gimmick to sell something the public is tired of. How many McQueens can there be? I’m sure Target will slip in the unsold ‘classic’ line for the new collectors.
I stopped in a the Lacey Wal-Mart when returning from Olympia and found nineteen #1 Lightning McQueens on the pegs. Sold eight out of twenty seven. Nobody wants McQueen at the expense of the other castings! Mattel, can’t you get it??
Well, since I’m surrounded by Targets, this will make my life a little easier (23 skidoo to you, TRU and Wally!)
I’m kind of like several in regards to ‘I’ll believe it when I see it.’ I’ve just grown so skeptical whenever new cases are released, as well as the ‘per case’ numbers. While I will buy ‘Muddy McQueen,’ he leaves me thinking that he will be the distant peg-warming cousin to ‘Tumbleweed McQueen’ and ‘Cactus McQueen.’
I’ll definitely be on the lookout for Derek Dobbs. I just get a smile when he passes the one car on the 2-lane and goes: ‘Nice day, huh?’
For Coriander, it feels odd that she (or he?) is without the parents. I thought it was an interesting gag: Mom is red, Dad is blue, and Cori is purple.
And as for Mood Springs (for some reason, that one shot of him flying past the camera screaming left him scarred in my cranium), I would imagine they’ll do like wrecked King. I can’t seem them giving him to us looking exactly as he does in the tow scene.

I do hope Target can keep up with the demand. I was just looking at the A,B,C case assortments (1 Stop Diecast) for Lenticular cases. CASE A – Saluting Sarge, Ferrari F430(Chase), 9 LIGHTNING MCQ. CASE B – Dinoco McQueen w/Piston Cup (Chase), Sarge, 5 LIGHTNING MCQ. CASE C – Chick Hicks w/Piston Cup (Chase), Flo, 4 LIGHTNING MCQ. Three cases…18 LIGHTNING MCQ!!! Why can’t Mattel use the same common sense with the singles assortments that they seem to be using for the Mega Size, Haulers and 3 Packs??? It may take until Black Friday to get rid of all of the goofy eyed McQueens on the pegs around here.

Reminds me of Wingo – I always laugh when I see him. Extra exaggerated “ricer” similar to the whale tail fins you see on some street cars. JL sure knows how to make good comedy 🙂

Lasseter told us a funny story about a Johnnie and Jamie when we were up @ Pixar once. Those two characters were based on himself and his brother who used to go way up to the top of the stands of the Rose Bowl and spit down on the ground just for S & G’s. 🙂

want to give us. I say the more new stuff the better. New
cars keep collecting fun exciting and fresh. They also raise
the value of older hard to get stuff. Cars 2 is still to far away.
New cars and Cars toons(John LOVES them) “you remember
you were there too” are helping bridge the gap. Hope they make
more of those toons also. My 8 year old Daughter enjoys those
also, especially the new Mias and Tias.
Is Richard Kensington still scheduled as a Megasize?
